Being active

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. It can prevent or delay many of the health problems that may come with age, meaning you are less likely to become dependent on others.

Being physically active can:

  • improve your brain health
  • help manage weight
  • reduce the risk of disease
  • strengthen bones and muscles, which helps to prevent falls
  • improve your ability to do everyday activities
  • help form new friendships

It doesn't matter what age you are - it's never too late to try something new.
